About Duffy Insurance
After working in the insurance business for more than 20 years, in 1996 Paul Duffy purchased a small property and casualty insurancy agency located in Lynn, Massachusetts and Duffy Insurance was born
1996
In July of 1996, Paul, joined by his brother Steve Duffy and two other employees began servicing clients under the Duffy Insurance name.
1998
Duffy Insurance acquires the Plato Chambers Insurance Agency of Peabody. The office is merged into the Duffy Insurance Lynn location.
2002
In 2002 Duffy Insurance acquired the highly regarded Babson-Elwell and Davis in Gloucester.
2003
Duffy Insurance acquires part of the Jenis Insurance agency of Lynn, Ma. The book of business is merged into the Duffy Insurance Lynn location.
2006
In 2006 Duffy Insurance opens a Peabody location. Marc Duffy joined the agency and began working out of this new Peabody location.
2012
Duffy Insurance acquired the Mary Modugno Insurance Agency of Lynn. The agency is merged into the Duffy Insurance Lynn office.
2015
Duffy Insurance Agency acquires the Connolly Insurance Agency of Peabody, Ma. The Connolly Insurance agency is merged into the Duffy Insurance Peabody location.
2016
Duffy Insurance Agency acquires the Jay Colangelo Agency of Chelmsford. This marks the fourth Duffy Insurance location.
2020
Duffy Insurance acquires Pingree Insurance in Georgetown.
2021
Duffy Insurance Acquires Barry and O’Connor Insurance in Lynn.
Duffy celebrates 25 years in business.
Duffy Acquires Charles A. Slee Insurance in Marblehead.
A.J. George Insurance merges with Duffy in Peabody.
